Community Development Block Grant Public Hearings
The Lancaster Board of Selectmen will hold 3 consecutive Public Hearings on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 6:30pm at the Town Offices, 25 Main Street, Lancaster, New Hampshire 03584. Community Development Block Grant funds are available to municipalities through the NH Community Development Finance Authority. Up to $500,000 annually is available for economic development projects, up to $500,000 for public facility projects, up to $500,000 for housing projects, up to $350,000 for emergency activities. All CDBG projects must primarily benefit low and moderate income persons. The subject of these hearings:
1. A proposed application to the Community Development Finance Authority for up to $500,000 in CDBG Housing funds. Of the grant funds, up to $35,000 will be retained by the Town for administrative/labor compliance costs associated with the project, up to $465,000 of the funds will be subgranted to AHEAD to improvements, including siding, roof replacement, paving driveway, common area upgrades, as well as a possible new heating system to the McKee Inn, 35 units of affordable elderly and disabled housing at 186 Main Street in Lancaster, New Hampshire.
2. The Anti-displacement and Relocation Assistance Plan for the AHEAD Proposed Project.
3. The Updated Housing and Community Development Plan.
