Job Posting-Lancaster Town Manager

                                              Lancaster Select Board Launches Town Manager Search

Lancaster Select Board Chair Leon Rideout announced the effort to replace outgoing town manager, Benjamin Gaetjens-Oleson who is leaving the position after three years in the role. We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and forward-thinking full-time Town Manager.


                                                                          Candidate Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in public administration or a related field Over five years of senior management experience preferably in municipal government or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, temperament, and abilities.
  • Knowledge of NH RSA’s is preferable.
  • Successful candidate will also serve as the Welfare Director
  • Shall be required to relocate to the area.


With a traditional town meeting form of government and reporting to the three-member Board of Selectmen, the successful candidate will manage 30 full-time and up to 50 seasonal and part-time employees and an operating budget of over $8 million.
