Introduction of/to new members: Melissa Grella

 

Old Business:

  • Dam: Still nothing from State or ACOE. Drop from agenda
  • MMP Complex Study and Grant: No report from W2W yet.
  • McGee Conservation Easement: Nothing new
  • Prime Wetlands Designation: Consensus is not in favor of pursuing. Drop from agenda
  • Invasive species: Pursue grant with Becky Newton

 

New Business:

 

·        2007 Annual LCIP Monitoring Report is past due. Delayed for snowmelt. Deadline is being changed to spring by state. Meet at R. Wert’s on Friday 4/18/08 for tour.

 

Communications:

·        Riverbend Subcommittee: Minutes, Agenda and Reports.

·        Local Government Center: Workshop offering.

·        UNH Cooperative Extension: Workshops for 2008

·        Connecticut River Watershed Council: 2007 Annual Report and Clean-up Report.

·        North Country Resource Conservation and Development Area Council: Looking for new members and Annual Meeting Notice.

·        Connecticut River Byway: River Byway Newsletter

·        TopoLogix GIS Associates: Soliciting mapping business.

 

Any other business which may properly come before the Conservation Commission.

·        Riverbend Subcommittee letter to DES re. FB Spaulding application. Nothing new, still have reservations about ability of property to protect the Connecticut.

  • Election of Chairman: Delay for new members to get on board and up to speed. R. Wert agreed to continue to attend and keep records, until new commission is on board and can elect a chairman, to ensure a smooth turn-over.
